Dried Staghorn Sumac Powder
North American staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina) is a bright citrusy berry used traditionally in sumac-ade, a lemonade alternative. It is also a great local stand-in for Middle-eastern sumac (Rhus coriaria), which is features in dishes such as fatoush, garlic-yogurt sauce, and marinated chicken.
Our staghorn sumac is more fruity tart and less bitter than the imported sumac we have tried. It also contains no added salt or oil.
