Black Locust Flower Syrup is made from the blossoms of the black locust tree. These trees, which grow in the more southern latitudes of Canada, are covered in chains of aromatic white blossoms in the late spring. These flowers can be cooked as fritters or made into an amazing floral syrup. Black locust flower syrup is best used in soda drinks, on crepes, pancakes, on yogurt or ice cream or added to a fruit salad for its bouquet. It is also used by chefs in original recipes with foods such as lobster. |
