Saskatoons are delicious berries from the prairies that have a similar taste to wild blueberries. In areas where they are abundant, they are often used fresh in pies. Slow cooked, they gain a unique almond-like after taste. They are most often used like other berries, consumed directly on toast, ice cream, yogurt, or added to fruit salads.
